A clockwork orange concept?

I watched the Stanley Kubrick movie, a clockwork orange ( 1971 ) and it was possibly the weirdest movie I have ever seen. The British lingo, the odd looking scenery and whole movie just confused me lol. But can someone tell me what the whole concept of it is about? And is there a meaning to the movie?
