Is it bad when a guy flakes on you because he's sick?

I don't know what you have with this guy. I honestly think you're just fun. No guy is going to admit "Yeah I just spend time with you when I'm bored, this relationship isn't going any where". You only hang out with him with another study buddy...ugh just cut this guy loose and go date someone real.
